Posting is so cringy
This challenge is going to make it extremely easy to get started and we’re going to take you through it step by step.
By the end of this 5-day challenge, you will be able to execute a simple yet effective LinkedIn sales strategy.
4C LinkedIn Sales Strategy
Connect with your ideal customers
Comment on relevant posts
Curate high-value information
Convert profile viewers into leads
By connecting with your ideal customers, they will see your name, your content, your comments, and you can directly message them.
You don’t want to post too much every day as the LinkedIn algorithm may not distribute it as widely. Plus, it’s a lot harder to come up with so many posts. However, you can comment an infinite amount of times and those comments will get shared to your network. Plus, you’re showing value to the people you’re commenting on.
Posting new ideas and content is time-consuming and not easy. That’s why we recommend curating high-value content. If someone shares a great article with you, you attribute the quality of that content to the person who shared it with you. You can build your credibility by sharing high-quality content with your network and ideal customers.
Let’s get started!
Day 1: Update your Profile
The activity of connecting, commenting, and curating content will ultimately drive people to view your profile. Your profile has to be able to convert those viewers into leads. Your first step is to optimize your profile. Use the checklist below.
Profile Optimization Checklist:
Professional Photo: Use a high-quality, professional headshot.
Background Image: Upload a background image that highlights who your company helps and how you do it.
Headline: Clearly state what you do and who you help (make it different than your job title).
About Section: Craft a compelling summary that highlights your expertise, experience, and how you can add value.
Featured Section: Create 3 featured posts that highlight your expertise and the work your company does.
Experience: Update your current position and include relevant past experiences focusing on how you help customers.
Skills & Endorsements: Add skills that reflect your expertise and request endorsements.
Recommendations: Request and display recommendations from clients and colleagues.
Contact Info: Ensure your email and other contact information is up-to-date.
Settings: Adjust settings to allow you to see who viewed your profile.
Grammar and Spellcheck: Ensure there are no typos or grammatical errors.
Day 2: Create an Ideal Connections List
Create a search for your ideal prospects. If you have LinkedIn Sales Navigator, you can create many different filters to narrow down your prospect lists.
Steps to Create Your Ideal Connections List:
Define Your Target Audience: Identify the industries, roles, and companies that are your ideal prospects.
Use Advanced Search Filters: Utilize LinkedIn’s search filters to find prospects based on your criteria.
Sales Navigator: If available, use Sales Navigator to save searches and create lists.
Save URLs: Save the URLs of your search results for easy access. Create different URLs for each persona you sell to.
Create your “Most Wanted” list
Look through all your ideal prospects and pick the top 25-50. These are the top people, that if you got a meeting with them, it could make or break your quota. You will engage this list in a much more focused effort.
Day 3: Optimize Your Feed
In order to curate relevant content, you need to be on the lookout for that content. The easiest way to do this is to optimize the content you are consuming.
To ensure your LinkedIn feed is filled with valuable content for you to curate, follow these steps:
Feed Optimization Steps:
Follow Thought Leaders and KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders): Identify and follow influential people in your industry.
Follow Companies, Competitors, and Groups: Stay informed about industry trends and activities.
Set Up Google Alerts: Create alerts for news and content related to your industry.
Engage with Your Feed: Regularly engage with posts from your feed to increase your visibility.
Set Posting Alerts: Get notified when your “most wanted” list posts so you can be one of the first to comment and add value.
Day 4: Connect, Comment, Curate
Start your daily LinkedIn habit with the 4C strategy:
Daily 4C Activities:
Connect: Send connection requests to people on your list (10/day).
Comment: Engage with at least 5 posts per day by adding meaningful comments.
Curate:
Share 2-3 high-value posts per week on your feed.
Send 3-5 personalized messages per day to your connections with valuable content or insights.
When curating content, don’t just share the link. Make sure to showcase your expertise and your unique point of view. This is what will ultimately attract people to you.
Day 5: Convert Profile Viewers
Check who viewed your profile and take proactive steps to convert them into leads. Reach out to them directly based on the activity they took. Personalize based on their job, role, company, etc…
Conversion Steps:
Profile Viewers: Check who has viewed your profile and send them a personalized message.
Interact with Comments: Respond to comments on your posts to foster engagement.
Reach Out to Likers: Send connection requests or messages to people who liked your posts.
Follow-Up: Consistently follow up with new connections and nurture relationships.
Conclusion
I’ve spent a lot of time trying to condense this challenge to it’s most important parts. The biggest challenge is just starting and the hope is you can take this challenge to get started right away.
Once you complete the challenge you’ll have everything set up to quickly connect, comment, and curate every day.
Don’t let your “lack of time” be the reason you don’t prioritize one of the most important lead generation channels that exists.
Good luck and I look forward to seeing everyone’s content!
